Security Supervisor CV Example

A security supervisor oversees a staff that makes sure a premise is safe. Security supervisors train their staffs to guard against theft, damage to the property and harm to patrons. They often use monitoring devices known as surveillance cameras, although much of that depends on the size of establishment they are guarding. Many work long or odd hours, protecting a premise even when no one else is there.

Security supervisors work for places such as night clubs, government agencies, casinos, graveyards, retail stores and armored vehicles. Their main priority is making sure everyone on the premises has a legal right to be there, and that those who require identification are carrying it. They also make sure that all guests or customers are being respectful of the property. Along with those things, security supervisors hire and train other officers, showing them how to keep a watchful eye on their surroundings and how to react if a situation calls for security.
